Becoming a Church Member

You are welcome to participate in the worship life and programs of First Church whether you choose to become an official member or not. Should you be ready to take this step, the process and the commitment are fairly simple. Your membership can be transferred from another church, or you may join First Church directly. Members are given the choice of joining one of the three denominational groups, or of becoming an interdenominational member.

Members assume responsibility for their involvement in church life. They are encouraged to nurture their spiritual life in community through regular worship attendance, finding appropriate and fulfilling places of service, and by supporting the church financially.

Periodically, meetings are held for those who would like to learn more about the church and consider membership. Let us know if you might want to participate in one of these. They are also a great way to get to know others. One of the pastors would be happy to talk with you personally about our church and answer your individual questions.
