Establish and implement administrative practices that lead to the sound operation of the business and legal affairs of the church. Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures.
Eight members elected at the annual meeting with at least one member from each currently viable constituent society from slate of nominees recruited by Nominating Committee.
Human Resources |
- Develop and maintain job descriptions for all hired staff, working with Board overseeing the position.
- Develop and maintain all personnel agreements.
- Consult with other Boards on hiring new employees.
- Consult with other Boards on personnel issues and reviews.
- Work with Finance Board to set salary and benefit packages for employees.

Contract and Legal Services |
- Consult on RFPs for major work.
- Review and approve all contracts for goods and services.
- Ensure accurate service records on equipment are maintained.

Building Rental |
- Work with Building and Facilities Board to coordinate and implement building usage policies and rental rates.
- Consult with church secretary on building use applications.

Insurance |
- Manage all church relationships with insurance vendors.
- Serve as resource for insurance questions.
- Inform other boards and staff of changes in coverage.
- Make recommendations for insurance changes.

Church Office |
- Hire and evaluate church secretary.
- Serve as resource for church secretary.
- Develop policies for use of church office equipment.
- Develop and implement coverage plan for secretary’s absence.
- Lead secretary evaluation.
- Develop and implement church telephone access and usage policies.
- Coordinate office volunteers.
- Prepare and office budget.

Records/Audit |
- Ensure that an annual financial record audit policy exists and is implemented.
- Participate in audit as required.

Government Relations |
- Ensure that required operating permits are obtained and posted.
- Serve as liaison with governmental entities such as town and state inspectors.

Pastoral Relations |
- Maintain committees to oversee the work of the minister and Associate Pastor.
- Ensure that the Minister and Associate Pastor receive regular performance reviews.
